ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kolapo Sowole is an artist known for vibrant abstract paintings. Born 1999 in Nigeria and raised in the United Kingdom, Kolapo’s journey into the world of art began at a young age, inspired by his surroundings, love for art & guidance from Dean Sandford.

Kolapo Sowole is a London based self-taught artist, has been honing his skills in fine art for the  past several years with help from his college tutor.

Originally started to work with acrylic paints, Kolapo also learnt other mediums of creating art. Utilising the use of colours and space to tell stories, which explore the depths of his culture and life experiences.

Kolapo’s work often explores the human emotions, his cultural heritage & his state of mind from a different perspective, Kolapo creates pieces that evoke deep reflection about himself.
